Customized Curriculum

H & S Rescue was contacted by the Division Chief in charge of Training for a Fire Department in Ada County, Idaho. They were looking for a customized rescue class that included low angle rope rescue, high angle rope rescue and ladder rescue systems. It was important that this coursework could be delivered with an evaluation component and individual certificates for each discipline of instruction as well as an overall course certificate. Idaho State Fire Marshall did not have such a class available.

H & S Rescue built a customized training program for this client based upon NFPA Guidelines, a neighboring State Fire Curriculum, industry standards, FEMA and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers curriculum. In order to insure that the Firefighters received credit from Idaho State Fire Training for the coursework, H & S Rescue instructors become certified as Idaho State Fire Training Instructors.

The class was completed successfully and H & S Rescue was contracted for another teaching opportunity with that agency hosting several Idaho Fire Departments in Urban Search and Rescue.
